You might end some chapters with 7000 kills still but it feels like a legit battle that moves to different places and not just stage to stage.įYI: don't bother with the complete pass, get the weapon pack one so Zhang He can have his weapon he originally always used and to compensate the clone characters. Now we can only wonder why they did my boy Sun Ce the way they did. bump up the difficulty, You are one soldier in the entire country of China trying to help your kingdom (Wei,Wu,Shu) achieve their goals. Don't treat it like a normal DW game where you are all powerful and run through area after area. It hasn't been implemented well but i can see the enjoyment if you play the way they were aiming for. I think with the idea of the open world they wanted it similar to battle via romance of the three kingdom's strategy game but as one warrior. Its fun to clear a path for a battering ram to open the gates yet at times its still most efficient to focus on the head honcho of the castle then move on. I think its the morale thing, kill the leader and the followers scatter and was applied to weaker ground troops too. Aim for their leaders but don't ignore the foot soldiers completely as they will take cheap shots from time to time. You have to kill the captains, I've noticed even officers like Cao Cao officers won't move forward until a small company of folk's captain is killed in the middle of the road as if you ran into an enemy patrol. Still cool they give you the option for $1-4 for one officer ticket instead of the base game.

Haven't noticed it from base game, trial isn't the best example of the game and is more just to allow folks to try out the open world/combat changes.
